The wine box ceremony.

A wine box ceremony is similar to creating a time capsule of your special day. The box will be a keepsake for the couple to open on their first wedding anniversary. It can be a special bottle of wine that they both enjoy, or the wine that is to be served at their wedding reception. Alternatively it could be another type of drink such as whiskey, which has a special significance for them.

During this ritual, the couple will work together to hammer or seal the box closed. This could be made more personal by adding love letters to each other. The celebrant will explain that the bottle of wine will be opened and drunk on the couple's first wedding anniversary, 10th wedding anniversary or another special date. This is a great option for wine lovers and foodie couples!
